Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our stone-ground chocolate.

What makes Taza Chocolate different from other brands?

We use traditional Mexican stone mills to grind our organic cacao. This minimally processed approach preserves the bold flavor and unique, gritty texture of the beans, unlike highly refined industrial chocolate.

Is your chocolate vegan and gluten-free?

Yes, all Taza Chocolate products are certified gluten-free and vegan. We do not use dairy or animal products in our chocolate making process.

How do you handle shipping in warm weather?

To prevent melting, we ship orders in insulated packaging with ice packs during warmer months. We recommend choosing expedited shipping if you live in a high-temperature region.

Where do you source your cacao beans?

We practice Direct Trade, sourcing our organic cacao directly from farmers in the Dominican Republic and beyond. We pay a premium above the Fair Trade price to ensure sustainable livelihoods and high-quality beans.

What is your return policy for food items?

Due to the perishable nature of chocolate, we cannot accept returns. However, if your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact our support team within 14 days for a replacement or refund.

How should I store my stone-ground chocolate?

For the best experience, store your chocolate in a cool, dry place between 60-70°F. Avoid refrigeration if possible, as it can cause sugar bloom and affect the texture.
